What is a poker run and how does it work?
A poker run is a type of event in which participants need to visit five checkpoints, where they draw a playing card. The object is to have the best poker hand when the run is complete—the winner is completely based on chance.
This event is hosted by the Lincoln County Wyoming Republican Party!
Join us for a fun-filled day celebrating 250 years of American freedom on the trails and roads of beautiful Lincoln County! Whether you ride ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, or street-legal on-road vehicles, everyone is welcome for this patriotic poker run.
Event Schedule
• Registration: Starts at 8:30 AM at the Alpine Civic Center Gazebo
• First group departs: 9:00 AM
• Last group departs: 12:00 PM
• Dinner: Served at 5:30 PM (Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Cowboy Baked Beans, Coleslaw, Chips, bottled water, and cookie)
• Candidates Meet & Greet: Immediately following dinner
There will be five stops along the route. We will provide maps — no prizes at the stops, just great scenery and good company.
Registration & Fees
• Entry fee: $40 per vehicle (includes one poker hand and one meal ticket)
• Register the vehicle once — even if it seats four people, you only get one hand and one meal per vehicle.
• Ages 18–25: FREE registration (includes one free hand) and half-price meal tickets if desired.
• Extra meals: $10 each
• Extra hands: $30 per additional hand (or $10 per card at dinner, limit of 2 cards)
Important: You must be present at dinner to win. In case of identical winning hands, there will be a redraw. The winner receives 40% of the pot as a cash prize.
